Bluey Robinsom

I have to admit I've been sleeping on this guy but I heard Hattie Collins mention him in an interview and he has to be one of the best UK RnB singers I've heard in a while...correction, one of the best worldwide!

The 20 year old from our very own London who is of Swedish and Trinidadian descent, already has his first single out 'I know' which you can get on itunes.

He's actually a pretty funny guy too if his antics on the underground are anything to go by...

...not sure what I would have done if I was on that platform.

One to watch for sure!

Thanks to Hattie C

Luda - A Hustler's Spirit

I downloaded this new Luda mixtape the other day and have been having a quick play through.

Download here

For those who are Luda fans (which I am) then you'll enjoy this extra little compilation ahead of his upcoming 'Battle of the sexes' album (16/3/10). It does however play out like the longest advert you've ever heard. The subject of which being his beloved Conjure cognac, the taste of which we are constantly reminded was perfected by his own fair hand.

Not to offened any of his fellow rappers, the DTP president in chief does shout out Diddy's Ciroc but hip hop mainstays Henney and Remy get a bit of a battering. I have to say after listening I did fancy a taste...where can i get some?

Please remember to drink responsibly!

Teflon Don

Like Em and 50 before him the big bellied Miami native Rick Ross is set to take a heavy footed step into acting with the movie 'Teflon Don' to go with his album of the same name and under the imprint of 'Maybach films'.

The self proclaimed 'boss' Ricky Ross (clever!) is no new comer to story telling after we learn't that his days hustlin were actually more commonly spent keeping the inmates of a Florida prison in check...the ones for whom everyday hustlin didn't lead to a hit single.

But I'll give him the benifit of the doubt and hope his aptly honed lying/acting skills pay off in the movie...no idea what the movie is actually about so I reserve judgement for now.

May 25th...on Feb 1st

By now we all know 'who the f#*k B.o.B' is and keeping up on his mixtape game Bobby Ray is set to release his first mixtape of 2010 entitlded 'May 25th' with DJ Drama and DJ Sense.

Album art work

Not to be confused the release date is actually Feb 1st (not long to go!) with the title cleverly referring to the release date for his upcoming debut album 'B.o.B presents the adventures of Bobby Ray' under Tip's Grand Hustle.
With a strong body of work already behind him thanks to several well recieved mixtapes i'm looking forward to what he has in store for us on the album.

Distant Relatives

It's been a long time since I've been this excited about an album but 'Distant Relatives' the project from two of the greatest of all time in their own genres Nas and Damian Marley is rumoured to be dropping this April 20th.

The first taste we had of these two gracing a track together was on Marleys 2005 album 'Welcome to Jamrock' in which Nas spit flows like "We sparkin' the irons/marching to Zion/you know how Nas be NYC state of mind i'm in" on 'Road to Zion'. It was a chemistry that clearley worked and from the sounds of what is rumoured to be the first single off the album 'Strong will continue' it's a chemistry that won't fail the second time around.

Too excited!
